TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: September 5, 2026

OVERVIEW

This website is operated under the name Designed by YOM. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Designed by YOM.

Designed by YOM offers this website, including the information, tools, products, and services available through it, conditioned upon your acceptance of these Terms of Service and all policies referenced herein.

By visiting our website, purchasing a product, booking a service, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access the website or use its services.

Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to offer our products and services.

1. ELIGIBILITY AND ONLINE-STORE USE

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state, province, or country of residence, or that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use this website.

You may not use our products, services, or website for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose. You must not transmit viruses, malicious code, or anything that could interfere with the operation or security of the website.

A violation of these Terms may result in termination of access to our services.

2. HANDMADE PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS

Designed by YOM products are handmade individually or in small quantities. Slight variations in dimensions, stitching, color, grain, texture, hardware placement, and finish are part of their handcrafted nature and are not necessarily defects.

Leather is a natural material. Marks, scars, grain variations, color differences, and other natural characteristics may be present. Exotic and specialty leathers may also contain natural variations reflecting their origin.

Colors may appear differently depending on your screen, lighting, and device settings. We make reasonable efforts to represent each product accurately but cannot guarantee that every display will reproduce its color exactly.

3. MADE-TO-ORDER, PREORDER, PERSONALIZED, AND BESPOKE PIECES

Some products are made to order, offered by preorder, personalized, commissioned, bespoke, or produced according to customer-selected specifications.

Estimated production times are provided on the applicable product page. These timeframes are estimates rather than guaranteed completion or delivery dates. We will contact you if a material delay or significant issue affects your order.

Colors, materials, and hardware may be subject to availability. We will contact you before making a significant substitution.

Because customized work may begin shortly after an order is accepted, cancellation and return rights may be limited where permitted by law. Personalized, bespoke, commissioned, customer-specified, and explicitly final-sale pieces are subject to our Return & Refund Policy and any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.

4. ORDERS AND BILLING INFORMATION

We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, material unavailability, inability to fulfill requested customization, shipping restrictions, or violation of these Terms.

If we change or cancel an order after it is placed, we will attempt to notify you using the email address, telephone number, or billing information provided with the order.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, billing, shipping, and account information. You are responsible for reviewing personalization details, addresses, and other customer-provided specifications before submitting an order.

5. PRICES, PAYMENTS, TAXES, AND DUTIES

Prices may change without notice. The price charged will be the price shown at checkout when the order is submitted, except where a clear pricing error has occurred.

Applicable sales taxes are calculated at checkout where required. International customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other charges imposed by the destination country unless checkout explicitly states that such charges are included.

Payment must be authorized before an order is processed. Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

6. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Ready-to-ship and made-to-order products are prepared according to the processing times stated on the website or individual product page.

Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout. Carrier delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, incorrect addresses, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occur.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping charges may apply before it is sent again.

Please review our Shipping Policy:

7. RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND DAMAGED ORDERS

Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy:

https://designedbyyom.com/policies/refund-policy

Eligible returns must be requested within the period stated in that policy. Returned products must be unused, unworn, and in their original condition and packaging.

Customers are responsible for ordinary return-shipping costs unless the product arrived damaged or incorrect, or unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Personalized, bespoke, commissioned, customer-specified, and explicitly final-sale pieces cannot be returned except where required by law.

If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact support@designedbyyom.com promptly and include the order number and clear photographs of the item and packaging.

8. STUDIO AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Designed by YOM may offer live online leathercraft sessions, consultations, workshops, or other educational services.

Session length, format, price, scheduling terms, cancellation terms, and included follow-up support will be disclosed at the time of booking. Customers are responsible for having the equipment, internet connection, tools, materials, and workspace needed to participate.

Leathercraft may involve sharp tools, adhesives, dyes, heat, machinery, and other potentially hazardous materials or equipment. Customers are responsible for following manufacturer instructions, using appropriate protective equipment, and maintaining a safe workspace.

Educational guidance does not guarantee a particular project result. Individual outcomes depend on factors including experience, materials, tools, preparation, and execution.

9. ACCURACY OF WEBSITE INFORMATION

We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, prices, availability, photographs, production estimates, and other website information accurate.

Occasionally, information may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. To the extent permitted by law, we may correct errors, update information, or cancel an affected order. If an order is canceled after payment, the applicable amount will be refunded.

Historical portfolio material and descriptions of past work are provided for reference and do not necessarily indicate that an identical product is available for purchase or recreation.

10. MODIFICATIONS TO PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a product, service, feature, price, or website function at any time, subject to obligations arising from orders we have already accepted and applicable law.

Nothing on the website constitutes a guarantee that a particular product, material, color, service, or appointment time will remain available.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content—including photographs, videos, product designs, patterns, illustrations, text, graphics, logos, and instructional materials—belong to Designed by YOM or are used with permission.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publish, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

Purchasing a product or educational service does not transfer intellectual-property ownership or grant permission to reproduce a design, pattern, photograph, video, or instructional material for commercial use.

12. THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS

The website may provide access to third-party services, payment processors, scheduling tools, social-media platforms, shipping carriers, or other external resources.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, availability, or transactions except to the extent required by law.

Please review the applicable third party’s terms before using its services.

13. COMMENTS, REVIEWS, AND SUBMISSIONS

If you submit a review, comment, photograph, testimonial, suggestion, or other content, you represent that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights.

You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of your submissions. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.

We will not publish identifiable customer project photographs or testimonials for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

14. PERSONAL INFORMATION

Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy:

https://designedbyyom.com/policies/privacy-policy

15. PROHIBITED USES

You may not use the website or its content:

  • For an unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;

  • To violate applicable laws or the rights of another person;

  • To infringe intellectual-property rights;

  • To harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or discriminate;

  • To submit false or misleading information;

  • To transmit malware or malicious code;

  • To collect another person’s information without authorization;

  • To spam, phish, scrape, crawl, or interfere with the website;

  • To circumvent security or access restrictions; or

  • To resell or commercially exploit the website or its content without permission.

We may restrict access for violations of these Terms.

16. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its general informational content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes product warranties, consumer protections, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Designed by YOM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the website, products, services, or third-party tools.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This section does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

18. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Designed by YOM and its service providers harmless from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another party’s rights.

19. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted and severed where necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

20. TERMINATION

These Terms remain effective while you use the website or services.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms. Obligations and liabilities incurred before termination—including payment obligations and provisions intended to survive—will remain in effect.

21. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with the policies and terms referenced on the website or presented during checkout or booking, constitute the agreement governing your use of the website and its services.

A failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

22. GOVERNING LAW AND MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal laws of the United States, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence.

Customers in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under local consumer laws. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived, excluded, or restricted.

23. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. The “Last updated” date will identify the most recent revision.

Changes will apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. Continued use of the website after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.
